From modest beginnings.......

As I see it this blog may become one of two things. It could become a prized chronicle detailing  the laugher and tears of a fan witnessing the return of Charlton from the wilderness of League 1 to Premiership Glory, European  and world domination. Or it could simply become the kind of  exercise a future  therapist might ask me to do to help work through issues of depression.
The beginnings are inauspicious. There are plenty of rumours around about takeovers, managers clearing their desks, players being lured to Premiership clubs and such like. But nothing by way of hard news. Thats a bit worrying since Phil Parkinson made it clear that as soon as the last Championship game against Norwich was out of the way, preparations would begin for 2009/10 when we would be attempting to fight our way out of the third tier of English football. Since then the silence from the club has been deafening.
There is a fans meeting later this month at which we might hear something at last from Richard Murray. That may be the next time it'll be worth updating this blog.
